SB1 sa Kauswagan, giuyonan sa konseho

WALAY hunong ang pagsuporta sa Konseho sa syudad ubos ni Bise Mayor Bebot Rodriguez sa mga programa ug proyekto sa Barangay Kauswagan, ning dakbayan.

Kini human ang konseho sa sesyon niadtong Lunes hinusang misagop  sa resolusyon nga nag-uli sa Barangay Ordinance No. 2-2025 nga may kalabotan sa ilang Supplemental Budget No.1 nga mokabat sa P2,184,799.

Tipik sa gihatagan sa prioridad  sa barangay sa maong budget galastohon sa elektrisad, pagtul-id ug pagmintinar sa mga edipisyo ug straktura sa barangay ug uban pang programa  alang sa ilang katawhan.

Ang maong lakang miagi sa  makuting deliberasyon ug pagtuki sa mga hintungdang komite ug mga  buhatan sa City Hall ug nasuta nga nahiuyon kini sa balaod ug mahimo nang ipatuman sa labing dali nga panahon.

Ang resolusyon nga gipalabang sa konseho alang sa maong katuyoan gipaluyohan sa komite sa barangay affairs ni Konsehal Marlo Tabac ug komite sa pamalaod ug reglamento ubos ni Konsehal Edgar Cabanlas. (JRG/SP)

Abaday gidayeg daling responde sa nasinateng linog

GIDAYEG ni Konsehal Roger Abaday, chairman sa komite sa public order and safety, ang daling pag-responde sa kagamhanang local atol sa nasinating Intensity IV nga linog dinhi sa syudad sa milabayng mga adlaw.

Kini human gilayong gimando ni City Mayor Rolando Klarex Uy ang pag-suspende sa tanang klase sa pribado og publikong tunghaan ug  pagsusi pinaagi sa buhatan sa City Engineering Office ug Office of the Building Official (OBO) sa tanang gambalay aron masiguro nga luwas ang katawhan human nakasinati sa maong kalamidad.

Kini ang gipaambit nga pamahayag ni Abaday agig reaksyon sa special report ni Konsehal Marlou Tabac atol sa sesyon niadtong Lunes nga gidumala ni Bise Mayor Bebot Rodriguez mahitungod sa gihimong structural inspection sa mga hintungdan ahensiya sa goberno.

Sumala ni Abaday nga kinahanglan mahan-ay nang daan ang mga plano ug aksyon panahon kon adunay kalamidad sama sa baha, linog ug uban pa alang sa kapasigurohan sa katawhan sa dakbayan.

Rodriguez proposes neurodevelopmental training for frontline personnel

Councilor Jonjon Rodriguez presented his proposed ordinance requiring Comprehensive Neurodevelopmental Disorder Training for frontline personnel in public establishments during the recent committee on social services meeting, which he chairs.

Principally authored by Rodriguez, the proposed measure seeks to equip frontline personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate, sensitive, and compassionate services to individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and related conditions.

Rodriguez said the ordinance promotes inclusive and empathetic public service, ensuring that individuals with neurodevelopmental challenges are treated with dignity and respect, especially in public spaces.

Through this proposed ordinance, Rodriguez reaffirmed his commitment to advancing legislative measures that protect and empower the marginalized and often-overlooked sectors of society, consistent with his advocacy for inclusive and compassionate governance.

The committee will reconvene soon for the second deliberation of the proposed ordinance. (JDO/SP)
