The 21st City Council authorized Mayor Rolando Uy to sign a multi-sector Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) installing trash traps in Bitan-ag Creek to curb waste and improve water quality.

The said MOA will involve the Environmental Management Bureau- Regional Office 10, city government, nine barangays, and private partners.


Under the said agreement, the EMB-10 will facilitate the installation of trash traps and conduct quarterly monitoring to help improve water quality.


For its part, the city government will deploy manpower through its Hapsay Sapa Project to operate and maintain the trash traps, including the transport of residual waste to disposal facilities.


The identified barangays, including Nazareth, Camaman-an, Puntod, Lapasan, and Barangays 36, 35, 26, 24, and 22, are tasked to support periodic hauling and submit monthly monitoring log sheets to ensure sustained implementation at the grassroots level.


Allied Care Expert (ACE) Medical Center, Limketkai Sons, Inc., Rural Transit Mindanao, Inc., and SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (SM CDO Downtown), will act as adopters who will help in funding, maintaining, sustaining the program.


The initiative aligns with the ridge-to-reef approach of the government to control pollution and cushion the impact of human activity from upland and lowland areas, as well as coastal and marine ecosystems. (FDC/SP)


To promote understanding and support for autism community, Councilor Paolo Nicolo Gaane expressed his commitment to support Autism Awareness Month, ensuring that autistic individuals are not only recognized but also empowered to belong fully in society.


“A more understanding world is one where autistic people are not only recognized, but truly belong,” he said.


Councilor Gaane, chair of the City Council committee on health, expressed his enthusiasm for raising awareness about autism, a developmental disorder that affects millions of individuals worldwide.


“We need to move beyond recognition; we must foster environments that truly accept and support individuals with autism,” he opined. (JBD/SP)



Usa ka Technical Working Group (TWG) ang gimugna sa tinguha nga mapadali ang pagpatuman sa implementasyon sa ₱20 Rice-For-All Program dinhi sa dakbayan sa Cagayan de Oro subay sa Ordinance No. 15327-2026 nga naghatag katungod ni Mayor Klarex Uy sa pagpirma sa Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) uban sa Food Terminal Incorporated (FTI).


Kini ang rekomendasyon sa komite sa trade and commerce ubos ni Konsehal George Goking human gituki ang taho ni Konsehal Marlo Tabac mahitungod sa nasinati nga purwisyo sa katawhan nga buot mopalit sa tag P20 nga kilo nga bugas diha sa National Food Authority warehouse sa Barangay Tablon.


Ang maong TWG gilangkoban sa tanang sakop sa City Price Coordinating Council sa panguna ni Atty Egay Uy.


Atol sa tigom, giklaro sa representante sa FTI- Manila nga hangtod karon wala pa nakompleto ang pagsubmite sa mga rekisitos kay sa pagkakaron ang bugtong dokumento nga ilang nadawat mao lamang ang kopya gikan sa legal nga opinyon alang sa ilang pagrepaso.


Aron nga maimplementar ang maong kasabotan gikinahanglan ang syudad mosubmite og letter of intent, SB ug bids and awards resolution, kopya sa MOA, purchase order ug request for stock.
