Go welcomes Malimono LGU study visit
Councilor Gilda O. Go, chair of the committee on senior citizens, welcomed officials and sectoral representatives from the Local Government Unit of Malimono, Surigao del Norte, during their study and learning visit to the City on September 16, 2026.
Go, together with City Administrator Atty. Roy Raagas, City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) Head Annie Tiongson, Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) Focal Person Michael Carin, and City Tourism representative Vonette Go, received the Malimono delegation led by Sarah Jane M. Moreno, MSWDO; Reynaldo Cartin, OSCA Head; Loida Niña S. Rala, Senior Citizen Focal Person; Charito S. Besas, PDAO; and Ria P. Ochada, PWD Focal Person.
The delegation also included 14 presidents representing persons with disabilities (PWDs) and 14 presidents of senior citizens’ organizations in Malimono.
The visit provided an opportunity for the Malimono delegates to learn from Cagayan de Oro’s programs, services, and practices for senior citizens and persons with disabilities, and to exchange experiences and insights on addressing their needs.
“It was a wonderful opportunity to share experiences, learn from one another, and strengthen our commitment to programs that promote dignity, inclusion, and better quality of life for our seniors and PWDs,” Go said in a post on her official Facebook page. (JAO/SP)
