THROUGH an ordinance, the 21st City Council during its regular session presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez has authorized City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to apply for a survey order with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and to sign the subdivision plan of the City-owned 27,297 sq.m. land at Zone 7, Macanhan, Barangay Carmen, for On-Site Resettlement Program.
During the recent council session, the legislative body supported the initiative, recognizing the urgent need for adequate housing solutions for residents.
The on-site resettlement program is expected to provide secure and sustainable living conditions, promoting stability within the city.

Mayor Uy expressed gratitude for the council’s support, citing the move a significant step towards ensuring that the residents have access to safe and secure housing.
“This land is a critical component of the city’s on-site resettlement program, which aims to offer support and secure living situations for residents in need of housing solutions,” said Mayor Uy. The legislative measure was sponsored by the committees on subdivision and on laws and rules both chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas. (JBD/SP)
