SP accredits MASECA for LSB membership

IN its regular session Monday, presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, the 20th City Council accredited the Masterson Senior Citizen Association (MASECA) for purposes of its membership in the local special bodies (LSB) and in the People’s Organization of the City Development Council (CDC).

Organized on April 23, 2023, MASECA aims to safeguard the welfare and well-being and promote friendship, social enhancement, a spirit of solidarity, camaraderie, and mutual assistance among its members.

Pursuant to the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) circular and the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the Local Government Code, the said accredited CSO can now avail of government funding for its projects.

The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the City Council Committees on Planning, Research and Innovation and on People’s Organization Accreditation and on Laws and Rules, respectively chaired by Councilors Ian Mark Q. Nacaya and Edgar S. Cabanlas.
