SGV to boost Oro business
THE Sycip, Gorres Velayo & Co. (SGV) will help boost the economy of the City.
The accounting firm has pledge to provide for free its services in the production, publication, and launch of “Doing Business in Cagayan de Oro”.
This is contained in the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between SGV and the City, represented by City Mayor Rolando A. Uy, as authorized by the 20th City Council, in its regular session Monday presided by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez.
Under the MOA, SGV will assist the city government in designing and developing the "Doing Business in Cagayan de Oro City" publication. This also includes reviewing the compiled information on business setup processes, local taxation, and the city’s social, political, and economic profile, demographics, and related data. The SGV will provide these services as an independent contractor at no cost to the city, without acting as its employee, agent, partner, or joint ventures.
For its part, the city government will supply all information for the publication and ensure its accuracy and completeness.
Additionally, the city will not hold SGV from any claims whether actual, potential, or imputed, or from losses arising from inaccuracies in the information or issues related to the printing and dissemination of the publication.
