Sacala joins Oro Youth Leaders Convergence

MORE than seventy youth leaders from various sectors of the city gathered at the City Tourism Hall on May 4, 2024, for the annual Oro Youth Leaders Convergence (OYLC).

Councilor Kenneth John Sacala, CDO SK Federation President and Oro Youth Development Council Chairperson, graced the occasion with his presence.

In his address, he highlighted the collective achievements and progress made by Oro Youth in crucial areas such as Sangguniang Kabataan Empowerment and Out-of-School Youth Development.

Sacala emphasized these achievements as ‘shared accomplishments’ among various youth sectors, including in-school, out-of-school, community-based, faith-based, indigenous peoples & cultural identity-based, and special advocacy-based youth.

Sacala also urged participants to continually engage, collaborate, and actively participate in future youth activities organized by the city government.

The event underscored the youth’s commitment to working collectively for the community and provided a platform to address pressing issues such as mental health, teenage pregnancy, job skills mismatch, and youth participation in local governance.
