The city government of Cagayan de Oro will soon develop a new subdivision resettlement socialized housing project in Barangay Canitoan to provide much-needed housing solutions for displaced families in the city.

This, as the City Council, during its regular session presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, pproved the Preliminary Subdivision Development Plan (PSDP) of the Cagayan de Oro Resettlement and Socialized Housing Project I, Phase 3 Extension (CDORSHP 1 P3 Extn).

The proposed project covers an area of 23,943 square meters containing 171 lots.

The socialized housing project is, however, subject to the conditions imposed by the City Engineer’s Office, City Housing and Urban Development Department (CHUDD), and the City Planning and Development Coordinator.

Mayor Rolando A. Uy expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that it will create a community where families can thrive.

The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the committees on subdivision, housing development, and landed estate and on laws and rules both chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas. (JBD/SP)
