The 21st City Council, led by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, adopted the measure endorsing to concerned government agencies, officials, and council standing committees the resolutions passed by the Rotary Youth City Council Batch 2025.
It may be recalled that the Rotary Youth City Council serving as counterparts to incumbent city councilors during their special session held on November 28, 2025 at the City Council Session Hall approved 17 resolutions, following a week-long immersive training on local legislation.
Throughout the program, the young councilors drafted and presented policy proposals and participated in a special session, simulating the actual legislative processes.

The youth-led resolutions addressed concerns, including responsible parenting, education, waste management, health, sports and recreation.
Other proposals also called for installation of renewable sources of energy, CCTV and the strict implementation and enforcement of the traffic code and the anti-online sexual abuse and exploitation of children (OSAEC).
The Rotary Youth Council is a collaborative initiative of the city government, the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro, and the Department of Education. (FDC/SP)
