DILI magpanuko ang komite sa environment ni Konsehal Eric Salcedo sa  pag-rekomendar sa pagpasira sa Misamis Oriental Rendering Corporation dihas Upper Puerto kon dili nila mamintinar ang kalimpyo sa ilang dapit tungod sa mulo sa molopyo batok sa baho nga inalisngaw sa ilang planta panahon sa operasyon.

Kini ang gipahimangno ni Salcedo sa tigdumala sa MORC atol sa tigom sa komite diin nagpadangat sa ilang report ug rekomendasyon ang mga kawani sa City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office sa ilang gihimong pag-monitor ug inspeksyon sa maong kompanya.

Gitahasan ni Konsehal Salcedo ang mga kawani CLENRO nga himoon ang regular nga pagsusi aron masuta kun mituman ba ang maong kompanya sa gabayan ug lagda nga gisitar sa balaod.

Rodriguez-led cmte reviews accreditation of CSOs, POs

The committee on planning, research & innovation and people’s organization accreditation, chaired by Councilor Jonjon Rodriguez, convened to discuss the proposed resolution for the accreditation and re-accreditation of 77 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and People’s Organizations (POs) in Cagayan de Oro City.

Accreditation grants organizations a clear mandate to become part of local special bodies, in line with Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Memorandum Circular No. 2025-060 and Article 64, Rule XIII of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the 1991 Local Government Code.

It also includes their participation in the Committee on People’s Organization of the City Development Council (CDC), as provided under Ordinance No. 14334-2022.

Present during the committee meeting were Councilors Aga Suan and Marlo Tabac, with DILG City Director Ellaine Depaur, as well as representatives from the City Planning and Development Office, City Legal Office and the City Administrator’s Office, who provided support and legal guidance on the accreditation process.

This initiative underscores the importance of CSO and PO participation in local governance to further strengthen transparency, inclusivity, and unity in the city’s development. (JDO/SP)

Tipik sa ilang tukion mao ang paghatag katungod ni Mayor Klarex Uy pagpirma sa Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) tali sa Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST).

Kini kabahin sa pakigtambayayong sa siyudad sa pag-mainstream sa edukasyon sa pagdumala sa disaster risk management pinaagi sa Master of Disaster (MOD) board game nga mahimong himan sa mga miyembro sa komunidad sa kahibalo ug kahanas sa pagpangandam sa katalagman.
