VM Bebot Rodriguez bolsters CDO-Taiwan partnership on mental health

VICE Mayor Bebot Rodriguez sealed stronger mental health cooperation as she welcomed the delegates from the International Mental Health Cooperation and Training Center (IMHCTC) of Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

VM Bebot received the delegation led by Shu-Hui Wang, chief of the planning office of the Kaohsiung Municipal Kai-Syuan Psychiatric Hospital to honor their continued commitment to strengthening mental health initiatives and services in the city.
The purpose of their return visit was to implement the IMHCTC 2025 Overseas Training Program in the Philippines, conducted on June 3 to 5 at the Department of Health – CHDNM Compound, Cagayan de Oro City.
Organized by IMHCTC, the training program is a key component of a broader collaboration aimed at advancing education, research, knowledge exchange, and capacity-building in mental health care.
VM Bebot, principal author of the Cagayan de Oro Mental Health Code and the Barangay Mental Wellbeing Corners initiative, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the delegation for their continued partnership in advancing mental health awareness and programs that address the growing needs of the city.
Also present in the said gathering were City Administrator Atty. Roy Hilario Raagas, OVM Supervising Head Mr. Michael Villamor, and representatives from JR Borja General Hospital and the Cagayan de Oro City Hospital – House of Hope Psychiatric Facility. (JDOpema/SP)
