Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez directed the employees of the legislative department to strictly observe official working hours and proper decorum during coverage of the Council’s regular session.
As presiding officer, the vice mayor explained that employees attending the plenary must wear appropriate attire to uphold the dignity of the legislative proceedings.
The staff should refrain from staying on the session floor unless their presence is necessary for official functions, she added.
Meanwhile, she also stressed existing Civil Service Commission policies on government attendance and working hours, particularly the strict observance of the required eight-hour workday. She noted that employees must remain at their workstations until the official end of office hours.
Drawing on her own observations, VM Bebot noted instances in which personnel were already lining up near the attendance biometric machine before 5:00 p.m.
She reminded employees that such practice should not happen again and that any breach to such policy will entail administrative liabilities. (SPE & FDC/SP)
