SP commends young Kagay-anon basketball players

IN a recent regular session presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, the 20th City Council unanimously passed a resolution commending the achievement of the city's young basketball players.

The resolution, authored by Councilor Kenneth John Sacala, Chairperson of the Committee on Sports and Youth Development, lauded the exceptional achievement of the Kagay-anon players who clinched 3rd place in the under 10 years old category of the Asian Basketball Club Tournament (ABCT) 2024 Supercup Winter League.

This tournament, which took place in Hongcheon, South Korea from February 15th to 17th, 2024, featured participation from athletes representing various Asian nations including Korea, the Philippines, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, and Japan.

The young hoop players commended for their exemplary accomplishment include Karl Enopia, Josef Arrabaca, Xavion Jadman, Travis Tala, Simon Bantoc, Mathew Lloren, Exekiel Escuyos, Markus Nabua, Lecarius Dahilan, and Thirdy Santander. The City Council also lauded their manager, Mr. Louie Dahilan, and coaches Mr. Jan Olango, Mr. Long Uayan, Mr. Jun Velez, Mr. Cliff Tesocan, and Mr. Jared Abad for their support and guidance throughout the tournament.
