SP approves MOA with DepEd-CDO

THE 20th City Council enacted an ordinance authorizing the City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Education - Division of Cagayan de Oro City (DepEd-CDO), represented by its Schools Division Superintendent Roy Angelo E. Gazo, covering the transfer of funds from the CY 2023 Special Education Fund to the DepEd-CDO for the 2023 Athletic Meets and the National Schools Press Conference and National Festival of Talents.

In his letter, Mayor Uy recommended for its approval, citing that the expenditure of public funds for the above-stated DepEd-CDO activities was actually appropriated and duly approved by the Local School Board through Resolution Nos. 3, 6 and 7, series of 2023.

The said MOA was thoroughly reviewed by the City Legal Office and the City Local Finance Committee and both offices have interposed no objection. The legislation was duly certified as urgent by City Mayor Rolando A. Uy and unanimously approved by the honorable members of the city council.
