SP adopts Oro City College’s IDP
The 20th City Council, during its regular session last Monday presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, approved the Institutional Development Plan (IDP) for 2024-2029 of the City College of Cagayan de Oro.
The IDP outlines the college’s strategic roadmap and serves as a strategic framework that outlines the college’s vision, mission, core values, and key areas of focus to guide its growth and development.
In his message, City Mayor Klarex Uy said the establishment of the City College of Cagayan de Oro is a beacon of hope for youth, offering a chance to access quality education right here in the city and representing the embodiment of dreams for a safer, more secure and more prosperous future. He further said the IDP outlines a comprehensive roadmap for the college’s growth and development, ensuring that it becomes a hub for knowledge, innovation, and human empowerment.
Councilor Suzette Magtajas-Daba, Chair of the Committee on Education, said the IDP is vital for the college opening for the school year 2024-2025. It was approved by the Interim City College Governing Board to comply with the Commission on Higher Education's (CHEd) numerous requirements, Daba said.
The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the Committee on Education, chaired by Councilor Suzette Magtajas-Daba, and the Committee on Laws and Rules chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
