COUNCILOR Gilda O. Go, chair of the City Council committee on senior citizens, reaffirmed her strong commitment to caring for, protecting, and empowering the elderly during the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) Citywide Meeting for Senior Citizen Chapter Presidents 2025.

In her message, Councilor Go emphasized the importance of programs that not only provide assistance but also empower senior citizens to remain active and engaged members of society. She underscored her dedication to advancing initiatives that promote the welfare, empowerment, and recognition of the elderly as valued and celebrated members of the city.

“Our senior citizens are pillars of wisdom and strength in our community. They deserve not only care and protection but also opportunities to share their experiences and continue contributing to the city’s progress,” she said.

The OSCA serves as the coordinating body for senior citizen programs in the city, working closely with local leaders and chapter presidents to implement policies, organize activities, and ensure that the needs and rights of the elderly are fully addressed. (JAO/SP/Photos from Councilor’s FB Page)
