COUNCILOR  Jonjon Rodriguez reaffirmed the importance of supporting barangay and community frontliners, recognizing their invaluable contribution to the delivery of essential social services across the city.

As chairperson of the Committee on Social Services, Rodriguez shared that efforts have been made to help provide additional financial assistance to grassroots workers who play a vital role in serving communities.

In a post on his official Facebook page, the councilor reported that the beneficiaries included Child Development Workers (CDWs), Supervised Neighborhood Play (SNP) Volunteers, Mental Health Focal Persons, members of the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC), and Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) Desk Focal Persons.

Rodriguez emphasized that investing in community workers is also an investment in stronger public service, as these frontliners are instrumental in advancing programs on child protection, mental health, women's welfare, and early childhood development.

He added that public service extends beyond implementing programs, it also means ensuring that those who dedicate their time and effort to serving communities receive the support they need to continue making a meaningful difference. (JDO/SP)
