Rodriguez calls for safer homes for women, children

In observance of the National Women’s Month, Councilor Jonjon Rodriguez called on the public to stand against all forms of abuse and ensure that homes remain safe for women and children.

In his Facebook post , Rodriguez said that abuse has no place in society, stressing the role of the community in protecting them.

Rodriguez also urged victims and eyewitnesses to speak up, seek help, and report incidents to the proper authorities through the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) at 0975-608-7522, CDRRMDO Rescue at 911, and the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office at 0917-771-3663.

“Uban kanato sa pagpanalipod sa katungod sa matag pamilyang Kagay-anon. Maghiusa kita batok sa abuso,” he concluded. (JDO/SP)
