Rodriguez affirms ECCD support at barangay moving-up rites

Councilor Jonjon Rodriguez reaffirmed support for Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) as he attended moving-up ceremonies of young learners in several barangays across the city.
Rodriguez joined the Joint ECCD Moving-Up Ceremony of the 113 learners from Barangays 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, and 31, as well as the Street and Urban Working Children Program (SUWCP).
He also attended the ECCD Moving-Up Ceremony in Barangay Lapasan, where 196 learners from nine ECCD centers advanced to the next stage of their educational journey. In Barangay Bugo, Rodriguez likewise expressed his support as he joined 238 learners in their academic milestone.Meanwhile, in Barangay Gusa, the ceremony was held for 287 learners who successfully completed their early childhood development program.
In Barangay Camaman-an, 261 learners from 10 Child Development Centers proudly marched in their moving-up ceremony.
Rodriguez commended Child Development Teachers (CDTs), partner agencies, and parents for their dedication to nurturing young learners, and underscored the need for proper guidance in today’s digital age.
As chairperson of the committee on social services, he reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening ECCD programs in in the city, recognizing that investing in children is key to building a brighter for them. (JDO/SP)
