Proposed barangay council for education ordinance up for discussion

The City Council committee on education, chaired by Councilor Jing Y. Daba, is set to deliberate on the proposed Barangay Council for Education (BCE) Ordinance.

The measure is anchored on Resolution No. 2025-002, adopted by the Rotary Youth City Council Batch 2025 on November 28, 2025, and Resolution No. 15656-2026, approved on February 2, 2026.

The proposed ordinance seeks to institutionalize youth and student representation in local education governance and decision-making.
