Proposal for more pet-friendly spaces in CdeO up for discussion

The committees on agriculture, tourism, trade and commerce, and health will conduct a joint meeting on Friday, September 26, at 9:00 AM to discuss the proposal of Councilor Yevonna Yacine Emano for the establishment of more pet-friendly spaces in Cagayan de Oro.

In her special report during the 8th regular session, Emano emphasized that formulating a local policy will further enforce Republic Act 9482, or the Anti-Rabies Act of 2007, which thereby promotes responsible pet ownership.

She also stressed that Cagayan de Oro, being the City of Golden Friendship, should also be inclusive in extending its warmth to pets and their owners.
