Pascual calls for more force multipliers in keeping the City’s peace and order

“Kalooy sa Ginoo, wala man gyud ko nahadlok sa kadaghan sa events na akong giadtuan, nakita man gud nako na daghan ta’g kapolisan ug (naa sad ang) atong Task Force Oro.”

Thus spoke Councilor Jay R. Pascual during the regular session on Monday in reaction to the special report of Councilor Yevona Yacine B. Emano, calling for a review of the City’s internal security plan in view of the pawnshop robbery incident and other crimes the past weeks.

Pascual said he has been to almost five core events (major and parallel activities) for the past weeks where police authorities and other force multipliers from the Philippine Coast Guard and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) are on duty.

He also confirmed he had talks with Councilor Romeo V. Calizo over the need to deploy additional force multipliers like the BJMP, Philippine Navy and also barangay tanods.

“Maybe we can also call on our barangay captains. Kay sa barangay, naa man gyud na atong mga force multipliers na mga barangay tanod to help kay lisod kaayo na madaut ang atong festival ug ang atong kabibohan dinhi sa dakbayan,” Pascual added.

The councilor also joined with Calizo’s point of view that the robbery incident may be considered only as an isolated case and should not be regarded as a threat to the city’s peace and order situation.
