Pascual backs proposed City Pet Hospital

“Our pets are not only pets na atong mauban-uban but it (they) also (help) sa atong mental health like when the time I (contracted) COVID, dako kaayo’g natabang sa ako ang akong pet dog.”

This was manifested by Councilor Jay R. Pascual, chair of City Council committee on agriculture, in support to the special report of Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya on Monday’s regular session for the establishment of a city-run veterinary hospital in the city.

The councilor said Dr. Perla Asis, City Veterinarian, has already planned to purchase Blood Chemistry, X-Ray and Ultra Sound Machines to upgrade the services of the City Vet Office, however, it has insufficient budget as of this time.

As the matter was referred to his committee for further study, Pascual is optimistic the undertaking will push through very soon for pet lovers in the city who cannot afford the high cost of veterinary services especially when their pets get sick.
