Oro dads nod SK Agusan budget

WITH a total estimated income of ₱2,895,581.00, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Agusan is set to implement its youth initiatives for 2025 following the approval of its budget by the 20th City Council during its session Monday.

The approved budget allocates ₱723,600.00 for personal services, covering the honorarium of SK officials. Meanwhile, ₱2,121,981.00 is earmarked for maintenance and other operating expenses, which include office operations and various youth empowerment programs. Additionally, ₱50,000.00 is allocated for capital outlay.

Sourced from the 10% SK fund of the barangay’s annual income, the budget is in line with Republic Act 10742, or the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015, which mandates financial support for youth-related programs, projects, and activities.

The committee on sports and youth development and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Kenneth John D. Sacala and Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas, respectively, sponsored the approval of the said budget.  (SPEscoltos/SP)
