Legaspi: Rebidding underway to complete Macanhan health facility

COUNCILOR Al Legaspi Sr., responding to the special report on the mega health center in Macanhan, Brgy. Carmen, clarified that the city is now preparing the required documents for the project’s rebidding.

He relayed information from the City Engineer’s Office, which oversees local public works and infrastructure, noting that a series of formal notices had been issued to the previous contractor, leading to the issuance of a suspension order.

Legaspi underscored that the project had already commenced, explaining that the contractor had been paid for its completed accomplishments, including the 15% mobilization and 15% under the first partial billing.

He added that while there may have been challenges in implementing the work, the city is moving forward with the rebidding process to ensure the continuation and eventual completion of the health facility for the community. (SPE/SP)
