The city-owned hospital J.R. Borja General Hospital (JRBGH) will be receiving an endoscopy machine tower, a medical equipment for a range of procedures, including gastrointestinal examinations, which are essential for early diagnosis and treatment of various health issues.

This, after the 21st City Council during its regular session presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, authorized City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to sign the deed of donation with the Latter-Day Saints Charities-Philippines, Inc. for the purpose.

The said donor is seen to advance healthcare accessibility and quality and alleviate financial pressures on the city’s healthcare system.

Mayor Uy expressed gratitude to the donor, citing the machine tower as important equipment that will provide residents with more comprehensive care and better outcomes in critical areas.

The ordinance was reviewed and endorsed by the committees on health, nutrition, and health insurance and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Paolo Nicolo Gaane and Edgar S. Cabanlas, respectively. (JBD/SP)
