Goking congratulates Paalam, Calls on sports enthusiasts to continue to develop themselves

COUNCILOR George S. Goking, chair of the City Council committee on trade and commerce and on ways and means congratulated medalist Carlo Paalam during his courtesy visit at City Hall yesterday.

The Olympic silver medalist was warmly received and congratulated by city officials for bringing honor to the city and country.

Councilor Goking is encouraging those who have skills in sports to develop themselves like Paalam who rose from being a scavenger to a millionaire.

Sports change lives and is a good exercise for health, he cited.
