Goking appeals to petroleum dealers not to increase prices

COUNCILOR George S. Goking, chair of the City Council committee on trade and commerce, appeals to petroleum dealers not to increase their prices.

The councilor said while he understands their plight, the consuming public, who are already suffering because of the Covid-19 pandemic, should also be given importance.

The increase in prices of petroleum products will have a domino effect and will trigger an increase in prices of basic commodities like food, he cited.

A possible meeting with petroleum dealers will be conducted regarding this concern, he said.
