Gaane joins Local Health Board meeting to discuss YAKAP claims, iClinicSys

CITY Councilor Paolo Nicolo Gaane, chair of the City Council committee on health, nutrition, and health insurance attended the meeting of the Local Health Board last Friday, focusing on the YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program) claims and the newly integrated Health and iClinicSys system.

The meeting was attended by Mayor Rolando A. Uy and representatives from the Department of Health, who provided insights into ongoing health initiatives and strategies for better service delivery.

The PhilHealth YAKAP is an enhanced, free primary care benefit package (formerly Konsulta) that provides accredited check-ups, diagnostic tests, and medicines for members and dependents.

It covers up to ₱20,000 annually, including, but not limited to, 75 types of essential medicines, such as antibiotics, anti-hypertensives, and anti-diabetics. 

The discussion also highlighted the recent implementation of the iClinicSys system, designed to digitize and improve the management of health records and patient data, which will make patient records and clinic services easier to manage. (JBD/SP)
