Gaane backs initiative for pet-friendly business establishments, public spaces

CITY Councilor Paolo Nicolo Gaane on Monday expressed support for the push to establish more pet-friendly business establishments and public spaces across the city, following a special report by Councilor Yevonna Yacine B. Emano during the 8^th regular session of the 21st City Council presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez.

As chairman of the committee on health, nutrition, and health insurance, Councilor Gaane emphasized that pets also deserve spaces where they can freely socialize. He added that this initiative can boost tourism and economic activity, as well as promote responsible pet ownership.

Councilor Gaane also expressed support for a collaborative meeting involving the committees on health, tourism, agriculture, and on trade and commerce for further discussion.  (JBD/SP)
