The proposed resolution seeking to upgrade Fr. William F. Masterson, SJ Elementary School into an integrated school will be taken up by the City Council committee on education, chaired by Councilor Moreno Y. Daba IV.
The proposed conversion of the elementary school into Fr. William F. Masterson, SJ Integrated School, in line with Department of Education (DepEd) Order No. 40, s. 2014, will allow the expansion of the school to deliver a complete basic education program.

Records show that the school has experienced a steady rise in enrollment, alongside increasing demand from the community for accessible secondary education.
At present, many elementary graduates are compelled to travel to distant high schools, resulting in attendance issues, safety concerns, and higher risk of dropping out.
Once approved, the conversion is expected to ensure seamless K to 12 education within the locality, ease transportation challenges, support community development, and provide access to a nearby Junior High School compliant with DepEd standards, The Gavel learned. (JAO/SP)
