Educ cmte to deliberate on property offer for school expansion

THE City Council committee on education, chaired by Councilor Moreno Y. Daba IV, is set to deliberate the offer of Dr. Alejandro Ortigas, administrator of the Heirs of Trinidad Pineda, Gloria R. Chaves, Efigenia R. Reyes, and Salome R. Veloso, to sell their property in Barangay Bugo.

In his letter addressed to Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, Dr. Ortigas expressed the heirs’ willingness to sell their one-hectare property located in Villa Trinitas Subdivision, Suntingon, Bugo, as the proposed site for the expansion of Suntingon Elementary School. The property is being offered at ₱1,000.00 per square meter.

The committee is expected to study the proposal and evaluate its feasibility in addressing the growing need for additional school facilities in the area, The Gavel learned. (JAO/SP)
