DWSD-10 donates kits for children, women in Oro

The Department of Social Welfare and Development – Field Office 10 (DSWD-FO10) will be donating child-and-women-friendly kits and camp management materials to provide support for children and women of Cagayan de Oro City.

This, after the 21st City Council, presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, approved Ordinance No. 15298-2026, authorizing Mayor Rolando A. Uy to sign the deed of donation with the partner agency.

Chess boardgames, jumping ropes, puzzles, flash cards, children’s books, manipulative toys, and educational materials are part of the package given by DSWD.

Camping needs were also given, such as megaphone, LED flash light, face mask, whistle, and many others.

Councilor Jonjon Rodriguez, chairperson of the committee on social services, moved for the approval of the said ordinance which was certified urgent by the city mayor. (JDO/SP)
