Dahino leads CIACAT–VAWC first quarterly meeting of 2026

city Councilor Des Dahino, chairperson of the city council’s committee on women and family relations, and vice-chairperson of the City Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (CIACAT–VAWC), presided over the council’s first quarterly meeting for the year.
Among its agenda was the Accomplishment Report for CY 2025, which presented data from various relevant agencies, including the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO), the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD), and the Office of the City Prosecutor.
The report provided an overview of incidents related to trafficking and violence against women and children in the city.
The meeting also covered updates on the Women’s Month Celebration 2026, the introduction of new CIACAT members from partner organizations such as the International Justice Mission (IJM), OFW Organization, Barangay VAWC Desk Representatives, and Child Representatives, as well as the planning and scheduling of the 2026 Calendar of Activities.
Councilor Dahino reaffirmed her dedication to unity and collaboration, emphasizing that collective efforts are key to building a safer and stronger community. (SPE/SP)
