Dads earmark payment of just compensation for resettlement purposes

CdeO 20th City Council during the 74th Regular Session

This, after the 20th City Council, during its regular session presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, enacted an ordinance appropriating an amount for the payment of just compensation to the lot owner whose property, with an area of 17,543 square meters, was occupied by the said beneficiaries.

It can be recalled that, during the administration of former Mayor Vicente Emano, the city government purchased a lot in the said area to be made as a relocation site; however, the identified private lot was not yet paid.

For this purpose, the legislators authorized City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to sign the corresponding deed of absolute sale.

The ordinance was reviewed and endorsed by the City Council Committee on Finance, Budget, and Appropriation, Subdivision and Landed Estates, and Laws and Rules respectively chaired by Councilors Yan Lam Lim and Edgar S. Cabanlas.
