THE 19th City Council during its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy adopted two separate resolutions earnestly requesting City Mayor Oscar S. Moreno through the City Building Official (OBO) and the Department of Public Works and Highways-Regional Office No. 10 (DPWH-10) to initiate proceedings for the demolition of identified illegal billboards in Cagayan de Oro City and/or impose appropriate administrative or criminal penalties for violations of pertinent provisions of the National Building Code or of Ordinance No. 6390-98, otherwise known as the Billboard Ordinance of 1998, as amended.

The resolutions were endorsed by the Committee of the Whole chaired by Councilor Romeo V. Calizo after holding an inquiry on the special report of Councilor John Michael Seno on the matter.
