Councilor Moreno Y. Daba IV attended the inauguration of Mambuaya Central School (MCS) on January 28, 2026, underscoring the city government’s continuing commitment to advancing quality education at the grassroots level.
The event was graced by City Mayor Rolando A. Uy, members of the 21st City Council, and officials from the Department of Education (DepEd).
As chair of the City Council committee on education, Daba emphasized that the school’s renaming from elementary to central school signifies future-ready educational environment for young learners in the city.
It can be recalled that the 21st City Council under Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez enacted Ordinance No. 15228-2025, renaming the “Mambuaya Elementary School (MES)” to “Mambuaya Central School (MCS)”.
“This gathering affirms our shared responsibility to invest in our schools and ensure that every learner is provided with opportunities to succeed,” Daba noted.
The inauguration of Mambuaya Central School is expected to further enhance the delivery of educational services in the area. (JAO/SP/Photos from Councilor Daba’s FB page)
