“I congratulate all our graduating City Scholars for your perseverance, hard work, and unwavering commitment in pursuing your studies despite the challenges you faced along the way. Your accomplishments reflect your determination, perseverance, and the wise use of the opportunities entrusted to you.”
This was the message from Councilor Moreno Y. Daba IV to the graduating City Scholars during the Life Skills Training and Pre-Employment Program held last week at Lourdes College.
As chairperson of the education committee, Daba also encouraged the scholars to view education not only as a pathway to personal success but also as an opportunity to uplift their families and render meaningful service to the community.
“As you prepare to enter the workforce, always uphold integrity, discipline, resilience, and a passion for continuous learning so that you may become productive professionals and contribute meaningfully to society,” the councilor further stressed.
The Life Skills Training and Pre-Employment Program aimed to equip graduating scholars with practical knowledge and essential skills to help them transition from academic life to professional employment. (JAO/SP)
