Daba bolsters city innovation efforts in PADDLE UP! dialogue

COUNCILOR Moreno “Jing” Y. Daba IV supported the expanding innovation and collaboration in the city's education sector during the PADDLE UP!: Government–Industry–Academe Dialogue held on November 26, 2025, as part of the City Education Innovation Week.

Organized by the City Education and Development Office (CEDO), the activity convened leaders from government, industry, and academe to discuss strategies and partnerships aimed at strengthening Cagayan de Oro’s learning ecosystem.

Panelists shared insights on addressing emerging challenges, integrating technology, and preparing learners for future workforce demands.

In his message, Councilor Daba emphasized the importance of multisectoral cooperation in improving education outcomes.

“Innovation is most effective when government, industry, and the academe work together toward a common vision for our youth,” he said.

“As education evolves, we must ensure that Kagay-anon learners are equipped with the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing environment,” Daba added.

The education committee chair assured stakeholders that the 21^st City Council remains committed to supporting policies and programs that advance digital transformation, enhance teacher capability, and expand opportunities for students across the city.

CEDO officials noted that PADDLE UP! serves as a key platform for fostering meaningful dialogue and collaboration among education partners.
