The OSYDA, a multisectoral collaboration, aims to bridge the gap for out-of-school youth in Cagayan de Oro by equipping them with the tools they need to become self-reliant and productive members of society.

Councilor Daba emphasized the importance of sustained partnerships and proactive legislation in creating inclusive programs that address the needs of the youth sector.

“We must continue to work together to open more doors for our out-of-school youth, not just through education, but also by empowering them with real opportunities to succeed,” he said.

Also present during the meeting were Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation President Kenneth John D. Sacala and former City Councilor Suzette Magtajas Daba, one of the principal authors of the OSYDA Ordinance. (JAO/SP/Photos from Councilor Daba’s FB page)
