CSWD releases schedule for indigent PWD social pension payout this November

THE City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWD) has released the official payout schedule for the Indigent Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Social Pension under the 2024 city budget, set for November 26–28, 2025.

Councilor Jonjon Rodriguez, chairperson of the Committee on Social Services and one of the key proponents of the subsidy’s release, announced the update through his official Facebook page, calling it welcome news for the city’s PWD community.

A total of 1,898 verified beneficiaries from Districts 1 and 2 are set to receive their social pension. Each qualified beneficiary will receive ₱6,000, equivalent to ₱500 per month for 12 months, in accordance with the 2024 budget allocation approved by the city government.

Rodriguez expressed his satisfaction with the development, highlighting that the release of the social pension reinforces the city’s commitment to supporting and promoting the welfare of the PWD community. (JDO/SP)
