COUNCILOR Gilda O. Go participated in a medical mission dedicated to senior citizens in Barangay Gusa, spearheaded by the Capitol University Medical Center in partnership with the Rotary Club Kalayaan and the Rotaract of Kalayaan CDO.
The outreach offered free check-ups and essential health services, underscoring the city’s commitment to protecting and promoting the well-being of its elderly residents.

As chairperson of the City Council committee on senior citizens, Councilor Go said the initiative reflects her enduring advocacy to uphold the welfare, health, and dignity of the elderly.
“Caring for our senior citizens is more than a program, it is a promise,” she remarked, adding that her role allows her to turn her campaign pledges into tangible benefits for the community.
The mission also demonstrated how cooperation between local government, private institutions, and civic groups can create sustained support systems for the city’s aging population. (JAO/SP/Photos from Councilor Go’s FB page)
