Councilor Daba backs skills training, co-chairs new education council

CITY Councilor Moreno Y. Daba IV, chair of the City Council committee on education, expressed his support during the Pre-Employment Orientation for the beneficiaries of the Relevant Industry Skills for Employment – Technical Vocational Education & Training Program (RISE TVET) held at the Pilgrim College auditorium last week.


In his message, he underscored the importance of equipping graduates with the right skills to meet industry demands.


He lauded the beneficiaries and recent graduates, encouraging them to maximize the opportunities provided by the program as they enter the workforce.


City Education and Development Advisory Council

Councilor Daba also attended the 1st Inaugural Meeting of the City Education & Development Advisory Council, which was created through an ordinance by the 20th City Council. The Council is chaired by CHED-X Regional Director Dr. Arlita Amapola Minguez, with Councilor Daba as Co-Chairperson.


He expressed his gratitude to the partner government agencies that form part of the Council, highlighting their unwavering support in advancing education and development initiatives for the city.
