City named 5th Performing LGU of Good Practice in Health

THE city government of Cagayan de Oro was recognized as the 5^th performing Local Government Unit in implementing Good Practices in Health (GPH).

To receive the cash incentive, the 21^st City Council headed by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, enacted an ordinance authorizing City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Health Center for Health Development-Northern Mindanao (DOH CHD-NM) covering the terms and release of the cash award amounting to ₱50,000.00.

City officials said the funds will be used to sustain and expand public-health interventions.

They cited that they are honored by the DOH recognition, and this incentive will directly support continuing programs that improved access to primary care, maternal and child health services, and disease prevention efforts. (JBD/SP)
