City Hospital-Tablon a major feat of Klarex admin - Cabanlas
City Councilor Edgar Cabanlas described the turnover of the Cagayan de Oro City Hospital-Tablon as another feather in the cap of Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy’s administration, calling the facility a game-changing project in public healthcare.
In a statement after its turnover ceremony, Cabanlas highlighted the hospital’s role in addressing the health and medical needs of residents, especially in the eastern part of Cagayan de Oro.
He said the formal handover of the facility to the operating medical team marked a significant milestone in the city government’s efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery and expand access to medical services.
City Hospital-Tablon first opened as a primary care facility on August 26, 2025, but operated with limited services until essential requirements were completed.
The hospital is set to offer additional essential services, including an emergency room, an outpatient department, minor surgical procedures, laboratory services, a pharmacy, and an Animal Bite Treatment Center.
Cabanlas also expressed hope that the project’s importance would be recognized by the public, including those he referred to as “fake news makers.” (PGU/SP)
