City council OKs ₱3.3M for Iponan youth programs

In its 124th regular session, the 20th City Council has approved the ₱3,344,113.00 supplemental budget for Barangay Iponan youth, covering the period from June 1 to December 31, 2025.

Out of the total budget, ₱1,580,000.00 will be allocated for maintenance and other operating expenses (MOOE), covering essential costs such as travel, training and seminars, office supplies, utilities (water and electricity), and other operational expenses necessary for the programs' implementation.

Meanwhile, ₱1,764,113.00 has been allocated for core youth development and empowerment programs with special focus in education, health, peacebuilding and security, social inclusion, economic participation, governance, environmental sustainability, and the promotion of active citizenship among the youth. 

The measure was endorsed following careful review by the committee on sports and youth development Councilor Kenneth John Sacala and the committee on laws and rules of Councilor Edgar Cabanlas. (SPEscoltos/SP)
