City Council okays ₱2M budget for city hall employees’ salary, retirement benefits

SEVERAL city hall employees will soon receive their salary differential, retirement incentive, and other benefits from the city government.

Through separate ordinances, the 20th City Council during its regular session presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, allotted ₱2,036 million funds from the annual budget for the payment of the said benefits to employees of the City Building Official (OBO), City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), City Information Office (CIO), City Engineers Office, City Housing and Urban Development Department (CHUDD), J.R. Borja General Hospital (JRBGH), Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC), and City Legal Office personnel.

The legislations were sponsored by the committees on finance, budget and appropriations, and on laws and rules respectively chaired by Councilors Yan Lam S. Lim and Edgar S. Cabanlas. (JBDacer/SP)
