WITH a total estimated income of ₱3,966,862.00, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Gusa is set to roll out various youth development programs following the approval of its annual budget by the 20th City Council during its regular session on Monday.
The budget, sourced from 10% of the barangay’s annual general fund, allocates ₱972,000.00 for the honorarium of SK officials and ₱2,884,862.00 for Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE).

The MOOE covers expenditures for travel, training and seminars, office and uniform supplies, fidelity bond premiums, SK Federation dues, donations, solicitations, and other operational needs.
A significant portion of the budget has also been earmarked for youth empowerment and development programs aligned with key focus areas: health, education, active citizenship, environmental sustainability, social inclusion and equity, peacebuilding and security, and participatory governance.
The budget was reviewed and endorsed by the committee on sports and youth development, chaired by Councilor Kenneth John D. Sacala, and the committee on laws and rules, chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas. (SPEscoltos/SP)
