IN a recent meeting of the City Council committee on subdivision and landed estate, Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas expressed his support for the homeowners’ request for a road right-of-way in their area in Barangay Balubal.

The Zion Village Homeowners Association, Inc. has faced challenges in negotiating with the Medalla Milagrosa Homeowners Association, whose property is pivotal for accessing the road and for future developments.

According to Ms. Myshin Love Caylo, president of Zion HOA, the land they acquired could not be developed due to RROW issues.

They are informed to revise the proposed plan for its drainage system to accommodate the drainage system of Medalla Association Phase 1 and 2, as advised by the City Planning and Development Office.

She said the development permit of Zion HOA is now pending unless RROW issue is resolved by entering into an agreement with the Medalla HOA.

However, “reaching into agreement is of no avail”, Caylo added.

With this, Councilor Cabanlas will conduct a special meeting with the parties involved next week to find ways for settlement of the road right-of-way issue.

The Zion Association have expressed their gratitude to Councilor Cabanlas’ support, as they are hoping for a resolution of the road access issue so that they can proceed with the subdivision developments. (JBDacer/SP)
