Cabanlas leads inspection of subdivision project in Bayanga

CITY Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas on Wednesday during the ocular inspection of the proposed Xavier Southwoods subdivision in Barangay Bayanga emphasized the importance of incorporating green initiatives into urban development. He said it is essential that as we expand the city, we also prioritize the environment.

The City Council Committee on Subdivision accompanied by representatives of the city engineer, city planning, and the project engineers of A. Brown Company, Inc., developer,  inspected the site of the subdivision in relation to its application for Development Permit (DP) of the project, having an area of 37,500 square meters and generating 115 units (114 house & lot and commercial lot).

As part of the permit conditions, the developer agreed to plant trees in designated areas such as parks and playgrounds, and community facilities within the subdivision.


Additionally, there will be initiatives encouraging homeowners to participate in the city's greening program by planting trees in their own yards.

The committee also inspected the drainage outfall of the subdivision to manage water runoff and mitigate flooding.
